Rules

●The topics for the first round will be shared with the participants one day prior to the debate.

● The positions of affirmative and negative will be assigned on the day of the debate.

● Participants will have 15 minutes for their final preparation:

● The affirmative will commence with a constructive debate (6 minute)+ followed by a cross examination round (3 minutes)+ followed by the negative constructive, and a cross examination round from the affirmative (3 minutes)+ debate will conclude with closing statements from both the sides (2+2 minutes).

  • Clarity and structure of debate

  • Relevance and depth of questions asked during cross

    examination

  • Effectiveness in delivering rebuttals
    Time management
